Two Men Charged for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
