Chopper Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular California Shoreline

An aircraft hovering over a crowded coastal shoreline suddenly started spinning wildly, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators observed.

Videos posted on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral over the beach then descending towards the border of the beach, where it gets stuck between palms and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.

Emergency Response Information

Emergency responders said five individuals were rushed to the hospital involving two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.

Three persons on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were still under review.
